Universal Desktop Box
The Inside Story

T he Universal Desktop Box is an amazingly compact desktop box based on a 166MHz 21066 or 233MHz 21068 Alpha 64bit processor from Digital. Credit must be given to Digital for engineering such a box and for making them available to enthusiasts at fantastic prices !

Unfortunately part of the price paid for such a stunning deal is that the UDB ships with very limited documentation, merely an unpacking note and a "The mouse goes here" installation sheet. There is no official handbook for the UDB from Digital, however, there is an excellent manual for the Multia available from Digital titled Multia MultiClient Desktop Service Information, part number EK-MULTS-IN, priced at £65.00 This manual also covers the VX51 Intel based Multia product.

These pages are designed to provide owners of UDB systems with all the obscure and hard to find information required to make life a little easier. We hope you find them useful, and if you have any UDB specific questions or requests for information please mail udb@annex.co.uk or, elric@elric.com and we will try to get the information you need.
